Global Warming occurs in South Park

What can we do to stop global warming?

• Exchange one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb.
• Drive less. Walk, bike, or carpool.
• Recycle more. Buy recycled and recyclable products.
• Check your tires. Properly inflated tires can improve gas mileage by more than 3%.
• Use less hot water. A lot of energy is used to hear water.
• Avoid products with a lot of packaging.
• Adjust your thermostat.
• Plant a tree.
• Turn off electronic devices when you aren’t using them.
• The next time you buy a car, choose one that is highly fuel efficient
• The next time you buy an appliance, purchase a highly efficient model. You can tell by looking for the Energy Star, awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency.
• Develop a plan to reduce daily electricity use around your home. Ask each member of your household to take responsibility for a different electricity-saving action.

An increase in the near surface temperature of the Earth. Global warming has occurred in the distant past as the result of natural influences, but the term is most often used to refer to the warming predicted to occur as a result of increased emissions of greenhouse gases.

- Global warming is the gradual increase in global temperatures caused by the emission of gases that trap the sun's heat in the Earth's atmosphere. Gases that contribute to global warming include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxides, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), and halocarbons (the replacements for CFCs). The carbon dioxide emissions are primarily caused by the use of fossil fuels for energy.
